Hello,
I am interested in recording songs from XM radio in mp3 format so I can play them on my portable MP3 player. I have tried to record using my home kit for my skyfi unit and I can't split the songs up. I can only record large blocks of songs and if I want to delete one particular song the whole block vanishes. If I use the time trax software on a xmpc unit that I plan on buying, can I record individual songs or will it still be in large blocks?

I you record using a compatiable radio, it will split more or less into songs. It's actually fairly good at it as long as the DJ's don't walk on the begining/end of the song.

If I load the songs into a MP3 player will I be able to skip songs. Will the MP3 player be able to tell when a song begins and ends? Just wondering if it is worth the cost? Thanks

It will split all the songs into individual MP3s with all the proper ID3 information.

You can use the files with an iPod or any other MP3 player.
