MRV questions...

I have a few questions about MRV as dtv just offered Neva dal but I would like to know if it us worth it.
1. Will dtv come out and install a swm dish? ( will it work with the coax that the recievers were installed with and no Ethernet stuff)?
2. Can all 3 of my hr23 recievers share recordings?
3.for those of you that have been using mrv, how is it?
4. Any down sides to it?

1) Yes, for the MRV installation fee of $99 + $50 for the installation.
2) Yes
3) It is great.
4) None that I have run into so far.

well I for one have been using it since inception via my self-installed network and it works great.

I'm only using ethernet cables but I love it. Great feature. Now if it would only allow a DVR to set up recordings on another DVR it would be perfect.

4. Costs $3/month and it should be free since it took them forever to get it released.

Agree with what Joe said. So frustrating to have 3 DVRs and not be able to choose to record on a different one. Otherwise it works great for me.

I think that is something that will be fixed with future software releases. So I hope....

A few years ago, I was considering the SWM, but the tech told me not to go that route due to cold weather issues. Now I would like MRV, so I need the SWM. Are there still cold weather issues or have those been fixed?
