If I put a multiswitch outside.

Can I do away with the grounding blocks and run a ground wire from the multiswitch to main electrical ground for the house?

Do I need the multiswitch powered or does that depend on the length of the cable runs?

If I need a powered multiswitch switch will it be powered by running a coax line from the power supply inside the house to the multiswitch or do I have other options?

Thanks.

You can ground off the switch as long as its bonded back to the dish with #17 ground wire. Use a small split bolt to tie the two together. What kind of dish are you using?
