Multiwitch with pre amp

Hello experts-- I have read and read until I'm confused. I have this multswitch.5X8 I want to add a pre amp. Where do hook the power of the pre amp? The instructions for the pre amp show it after the coax run near the TV. I would like to power the pre amp before it goes into the multiswitch the send the signal to all my tv's. Does anybody know?

You'll have to connect a complete series: roof antenna to pre-amp to power supply to the multi switch. The multi switch most likely has it's own power supply, but that's seperate from the pre-amps power supply.

Thanks! I thought that was correct. Does a multi switch degrade the signal?

Every connector or splitter costs you some signal. As long as you're not in the deep fringe you should be ok.
