My Folders Sorting Option

I don't frequent site as often as I probably should, but a quick search didn't reveal any recent articles on my question....

Will Dish ever add the option to group the same show together if you use custom folders for your recordings? It's a pain having to page through when you have several recordings of the same show. Right now, the only sorting options are DVR date, alphabetically, and most viewed. How can we submit feature requests? I'm really surprised this has been made an option yet.

I hear ya, my friend. I know the regulars here had to put up with my griping about this for almost two years. I have a number of posts on this and even tried making suggestions on their own Dish forum. They have the code written and use in the Folders By Tile view but don't think the My Folders section is worth putting in maybe 10 hours of coding time to reproduce that look in My Folders.

Since I have a family with their own folders and a lot of recordings I do not want to filter through the sea of icons for ALL recordings in the folders view. Why My Folders is great for us. I generally don't have the time to watch a lot of TV during the week or weekends, so I tend to build up a lot of episodes of shows then binge watch when I get the chance. So I have tons of icons for all sorts of shows that make for loooong scrolling pages in my Dad folder!

Your comment only solidifies that I'm not the only customer who would appreciate a more "my way" type of interface. Now, Dish does have plans for a new interface from what they showed at CES this year () and maybe that interface will be more customizable. But from what they show now it still seems like their icon overload approach. Don't get me wrong, I love the icons. When/where appropriate. Just want one area that can be customized the way we want it, since they did call them "My" Folders. ;-)
