I cannot log onto my home page (satguys) unless I go into tools->internet options_> connections_> lan settings-> and uncheck use proxy server.

I checked the knowledge base of my ISP and it states....

"The following scripts are banned on XXXXXXX Networks
servers due to security issues:

- UltimateBBS (all versions)
- Ikonboard (all versions)
- Greymatter (all versions)
- IRC Egg Drops & IRC related programs.(chat software)
- Proxy Servers
- nph-proxy
- The Anonymizer
- formmail.pl (FormMail.pl, etc.)
- formmail.cgi (FormMail.cgi, etc.)
- lstmrge.cgi
- NewsPHP
- Shell, SSH, Telnet Scripts and Shell, Telnet Alternatives
- Any script that uses & processes a massive number of
flatfiles or large flatfile databases.

This list should not be considered as a complete list of
banned scripts. XXXXXX Networks will at any time and at its
discretion, disable and/ or delete any script determined to
be harmful to systems operations.

If we find banned and/ or harmful scripts active in your
account, we will disable or remove the offending script and
send you an email notifying you of our actions. Depending on
the severity of the threat, your account may be suspended
and reinstatement will be made at XXXXX Network's discretion.

If you have questions about a script you would like to use,
please contact us with details about how the script
functions. Please don't ask us if "Script X" is ok without
providing any details about the script. There are numerous
scripts available and we aren't familiar with them all.
Thank you!"

Does satguys use ultimateBBS?

Thanks for your help.

Nope, we use vBulletin and everything runs off of our server not your ISP's. Sounds like your ISP is having some problems. :)

Was going to say sounds like there rules for there own hosting servers(where you would host content on your own site). If there proxy server is blocking SatGuys I'd pitch a fit or find another ISP if possible.

I agree on both counts!

Ditto. When I put my forum up a few years ago I made sure the host allowed vBulletin. As for ISP blocking some sites, sometimes there's network congestion that keeps some sites from showing up.
