NASCAR 2013 season

so basically she acquires the #49 car points which is defunct. 42nd in points which only helps if rain washes out qualifying. The 500 she still has to race her way in

That's a matter of opinion. I like road races because those events show that these guys are quite capable of doing more than turn left.
It shuts up the snooty open wheel fans who think NASCAR drivers are all stupid red necks and guys who they say could not cut it in open wheel.
The thing is those drivers over there in Indy would LEAP at the chance to drive NASCAR..They's quadruple their income in endorsements.

ok ... I agree with most of what you posted.

Maybe they should do a few races running the other way and turn Right ...

Just a thought !

Nah, those turn both ways ...

I was talking about only right .... they use to have a race like that I think and they would run the pits in the opposite direction too.

One of the road races is backwards or at least used to be. Maybe Riverside.

The newly updated NASCAR iPhone app shows qualifying at Richmond. LOL!!!!!

the "new" NASCAR.com site is rubbish. Tried to use the timing and scoring feature. The server was unresponsive.
The site in general is cluttered and difficult to navigate.

To further....the whole new Nascar is almost rubbish these days.Nascar just doesn't have the same excitement to me that it used to.I'm not the only one either, the stands are never full anymore.Teams have to scrap for sponsors, dtv canceled hot pass, sure seems like a downward trend to me.

Some companies just do not have the funding. Advertising on race cars carries a lot of risk. Tv ratings are down.
In other instances, companies simply have no interest in the sport.

Wow Patrick is on the front row? That might be a boon to tv ratings.

The first 30 mins may very well get the largest TV ratings in several years.
Pre race programming will get a boost as well.
Of course I don't turn the thing on until they start the parade laps.
