National HD Channels NOT On Dish Network: Genre List

Those were terrible choices. Doesn't MLB have a SD equivalent?

You left off Fashion HD and what's left of Voom.

Platinum definitely needs more choices. Of the current 7?, two (NBA/NHL)? can be obtained via AEP sans platinum. WFN isn't all HD. Universal HD and MGM HD (will) show commercials. BET J has no HD. HDNet Movies is all that is left.

I'm Sorry, as Much as I didn't care for VOOM, I would much Rather them 15 Voom channels added to the Platinum Pack. Because Quite Frankly that Platinum pack Is a RIP OFF!
Sorry Can't Vote on this one. 1 more channel MLB or not ,won't make me spend $10.

i would much rather have the 15 voom channels than the million crappy PPV's on D!

I'd just like to add that in addition to all the commercials, Universal HD censors their movies. They try to conceal this by advertising that they show movies uncut but what they do is voice over any dialog they decide we - the paying public - shouldn't be exposed to, and blur out any images they decide we shouldn't see. In other words, they're just like AMC except for the HD.

So, I was thinking - where does this compulsion to create Lists come from ?

And, it occurred to me that hundreds of thousands of years ago, before TV, porn and birth control, couples might well have had 10-20 children.

Those who made a list, could then keep track of them:

"Uh, there's 20 kids on this list, but I only see 19... Urgh-gah ? We have a kid named Urgh-gah ? " " Yes, the one with the red hair " " Oh yeah, so where is he ? Hey - where is your brother Urgh-gah ? " " He's up in that tree over there. "

So, the ones who kept lists successfully reared more kids, and the ones who did not lost a lot of their kids to sabre-tooth tigers, and so we are descended from the ones who kept lists...

OK, I'll play.

WPIX-HD IS on Dish.

What exactly does "announced" mean? If it's "Charlie has said he'd like to have the channel", then FX-HD belongs italicized/orange. Otherwise it doesn't.

Why not make a list that has channels that actually exist. Most of the channels on this list are either rumored or not yet launched.

Allargon: I didn't include Fashion TV HD in that poll because Dish Network is supposedly already going to be carrying this service...we just don't know in what package yet. What is left of Voom is Canadian exclusive at this time and a MAJOR longshot to get clearance in the USA. It is really complicated, but Voom pretty much abandoned U.S. operations after Dish Network cut them. MLB Network has an SD equivalent, but I figure this could be the EASIEST way for Dish Network to get the most for what they probably want to make and what MLB charges adding it to the Platinum Pack.

If any of the moderators could change the poll, I would like to make it possible for multiple choices at once. I accidentally forgot to do that.
