Anyone know why the NBA-HD game is blacked out on ch96 DET vs ORL tonight? It is regional on SUN which is not my region, and is not being shown on any local affiliate. Anyone in the MTN or CEN timezone got it on?

It is not an NBA TV game. D* has been picking up RSN HD games for people in the netoworks coverage area. This is one of those games.

What he said. It's the HD feed for folks who are in the Magic's territory and have SUN

crap, guess i got used to the ones from nba-tv, thanks guys.. we need all these HD feeds too.

Last month my local NBA team was playing on my local RSN channel and also on one of the HD channels in the 90s. I couldn't watch the HD version but I was able to see the game on my local RSN. Shouldn't I have been able to see the HD version also?

Chris

So, I should get games on 96 if its on my RSN?
and I should get all games on 97 if I have HDNet?
and all games on 98 if I have NBA-TV (which I dont) unless its on my RSN?

96 if it's on your RSN
97 if you have HDNet and live in Dallas
98 if you have NBA-TV and the game is not your local team

Does FSN only do one HD game at a time? Looking at the HD schedule it doesn't look like there are very many games so hopefully none would overlap with only one HD channel for all FSN HD games. The Bucks are going to be on Friday in HD so I will check it out and see. Although the team really sucks this year...it's still in HD!

Chris

Ohhh. There are 3 games on Friday. So it will be interesting if they show more than one, or if one which one it will be.

I was able to watch Minnesota vs. Detroit last night on ch. 96 it looked very nice to me.

Did this game only come on because of the free NBA Ticket preview this week?

I thought it was the NBA-TV game so therefore it was on in HD.

NBA-TV HD

Apparently, not all NBA TV HD games are broadcast on D*. For example, the Utah/Seattle game on Sunday, Jan. 23 was an NBA TV HD game, but it was not shown on any D* HD channel (96-98). I wonder how D* determines what they'll show.
