Hi folks,
I had Bell TV until Bell finally worked their way through their list of CanAm customers and blacklisted my receiver.
I'm at it again. I have permission to use my sister's address in Canada, but I can't get up there and visit in person for awhile. I also can't impose many favors on them right now.
It would make me happiest if I could go up, buy a receiver and do a self-install at their place (they used to have an account and still have a Bell dish), and set everything up for internet account maintenance before I head back. By the time I do get back to Canada, I expect that my preferred receiver, the 9242, won't be available at all.
So I'm casting around for advice about how I might activate a receiver from the U.S. I see 9242's on Ebay, and could get one shipped here. I know how to call them without caller ID giving me away. What else do I have to do to get an account set up with one active receiver?
Private mail is fine if that's better.
