I got a HDTV off-the-air SIR-T165 unit off ebay, but for some channels it goes into
a continuous reboot cycle, and I am suspecting this is because it needs the
broadcast flag firmware update.

I called Samsung, and they said the latest update should be V133, they want the unit sent in, but I searched around, and it seems there was a downloadable firmware update at some point. Does anyone have it? My email is drapati at yahoo dot com.

Thanks in advance

Send it to Samsung and pray. I had one I don't remember the model # but Samsung sent me 3 pieces as replacement for my original all were junk. After 5 months they finally sent a new model I think it was a 451 I've since replaced. I won't buy Samsung again their service dept in N.J. was worthless.

The sympton of rebooting like that does suggest it's missing the firmware you refer to. I have the 160 version, which was also a DirecTV satellite receiver. On that, D* sent the update via satellite. If you got a copy of the f/w, how would you apply it ?

Digital converter box keeps adding channels

How do I combine 2 scanner antennas going to one scanner?
