These types of threads are starting to get rather old.

do you want to revisit the antenna issue again in 2009? The stations in question are going to vhf in 2009 according to fcc records.

Do you want a little cushion and the best signal possible?

Do you want to screw around and/or become frustrated on bad reception days (if you made the wrong choice)?

Do you want to split signal without worrying if you are going to have enough signal or not?

the db-4, cm4221, squareshooter, etc. are comprimises for your situation.

purchase the cm4228 and move on!

I agree.
Dave, if you are desperate to use the CM4221, get one, but don't be surprised if in 2009 you are back looking for another antenna. Otherwise go and buy the CM4228, which is almost certainly the right choice for your situation. But don't keep looking for reassurances that the CM4221 will be OK.

I have to agree. The CM4228 is awesome. I helped install one for a co-worker. Approx. 45 miles to the towers and getting 88 - 100 on all digital channels. Very easy to install and point. It's a no-brainer. Get the CM4228. I will probably get one for myself.
