Try a Google search on: "usb satellite receiver"

There are maybe three or four models by different companies, currently on the market.

I have a Twinhan USB StarBox, and have written about it here on the forum.
It works fine on my 4-year old 1500mhz Celeron laptop.
I think Iceberg reviewed it some time ago.

No computer-based FTA device is for the beginner.
It was my first exploit into FTA, and it really soured me.
I see you have a stand-alone box, so you've got some experience.
You'll do a lot better. :up

Software is one big part of the problem.
I have issues with MyTheatre, but it still may be the best choice.
DVBdream is an excellent product, and I strongly recommend it!
Whatever USB device you choose, make damned sure it can be controlled by at least these two programs.

There are other issues getting USB working properly on your computer, but so you might want to search for other threads which discuss those consideratiions.

Which one is considered "the best"?

thanks

If money isn't an issue... I prefer the Genpix.

Works with DVBDream, MyTheater, and TSReader plus it supports:

DVB-S (QPSK)
Turbo-coded QPSK
Turbo-coded 8PSK
Turbo-coded 16QAM
Digicipher II Combo
Digicipher II Split (I/Q)
Digicipher II Offset QPSK
DSS (QPSK)

Only thing missing is DVB-S2.

dvb-s2 is listed as an option in tsreader, unfortunatly I dont know of any dvb-s2 feeds in NA, I hear there are some that are not trellis (genpix will not get trellis).

anyone know a good sat to keep an eye on ? then I can let ya'll know first hand :) hehe
