I have two old Skyjack actuators that came with two dishes I acquired recently. The motor, gears and circuit board of both actuators work very well, but the arms of both are not moving at all. I have taken the motors off of one actuator in an attempt to take the arm apart to see if there is anything I can fix inside. The problem is that it seems to me almost impossible to pull the push rod/worm gear assembly out of the arm tube without physicall cutting the outer tube. Any one has a Skyjack or similar actuator that can explain how to disassemble the arm?
In an attempt to pull the rod out I've already broke the mechanism that attaches to the motor gear assembly. Please help as I do not want to ruin the other actuator. Thanks.
