hello i have a Directv Slimline model sl3s4nr2-01 and a dvr receiver model number r16-300...i dont have a power inverter because i dont know if i need one..im not getting any signal and was wondering is i was missing a part or if my dish is not capable..and also is it only one coax that goes into the receiver? because it has two ports..ty for the help

to Satelliteguys!Yes, you need a power inserter. It's very important, don't connect your dvr without it! A cable goes from the lnb to the power inserter and then from the power inserter to the dvr port #1.
