Need help with skew

Bought a dishpro 500 and was wondering what the skew should be set since I'm trying to get a signal from both 91 and 82...

For Nimiq1, I get 8.6 (Positive skew value)
For Nimiq 2, I get -1.2 (negative skew value)

So do I do (1.2 + 8.6) divide by 2=4.9... turn it to 94.9

8.6-1.2 divide by 2 =3.5 turn it to 93.5

I use Sadoun's site

and just put 86.5 for the satellite (since technically neither LNB is dead centre)

I also used Sadouns site and live near Detroit, mi. How do you get 86.5?

Ok I see what you mean. Unfortunately, I can only get 91, not 82.

86.5 is 1/2 way between 91 & 82

It looks that way. I have a tree in the way... Anyway, its not do or die. It looks like tsn and bbc world are on 91. Too bad I can't get Euro news until the leaves fall.

most of the English channels are on 91. 82 is the ethnics and HD

I, too am from the Detroit area. I looked at my former Bev skew setting on my Dish500 and the red line is just a tad below 94, which is about 93.5-ish.
