My H3 was installed last month and the tech used the existing cable that my original Hopper was connected to. I now need to move my entertainment system incl the H3 to the opposite side of the room.

In order to move the system I will need to add an extension to both my Dish and Comcast internet coax cables.

Here are my 2.5 questions:

Can I use RG6 cable for both extensions?

What kind of barrel fitting do I need to join the extension to the existing cable? Does it have a certain spec?

Thanks

You want to use a high frequency barrel. Dish uses barrels with a blue inside not clear.

RG6 rated to 3000 MHz is required for the hopper, not sure about Comcast. Some manufacturers label the cable 3 GHz.
