Netflix price increase

Netflix is still, even with the increase, a much better value, so much new scripted content in comparison to paid Live TV.

I agree with this. When combined with free satellite FTA and OTA, the $20 a month is worth it. I also get P+ for free with W+ and between all that I will never be able to watch it all.

Why are you so worried, you dropped DirecTV with their incredibly high prices and the RSN fees, to go with YTTV and their more reasonable monthly charge and no fees.

But even that is too much for me, since the majority of programming on Live TV services is reruns, fake reality shows and other worthless channels.

Netflix is still, even with the increase, a much better value, so much new scripted content in comparison to paid Live TV.
Not worried at all ....
Then again, pretty soon it will be at the Starting point of Cable/D* back in the day ...

I had to laugh at this email I received last night. A "star studded opener?" It's BASEBALL, not the Oscars or the Super Bowl. And how many people watch a baseball game two days after it aired and everybody already knows who won? Netflix has no clue how to do sports. Suuuuure Netflix, I'll add that one to my list :rolleyes

I watch the WWE shows on Netflix and for this past Mondays WWE RAW the 2 and a half hour show only had 33 minutes of wrestling in it. THey kept jumping to 3 to 4 minute ad breaks over and over again. Its getting crazy.

If I didn't get Netflix free from T Mobile I would probably cancel it.
If I didn't use a VPN to watch Canada Netflix, Raw would be unwatchable. No ads on that version. I still canceled Netflix when the hike was announced

Just a heads up for anyone who is trying to be price savvy and save a few bucks by adding themselves to a family members' Netflix account as an "extra member." They will not permit someone with an existing account to add to another account. It has to be an email address *never before associated* with a Netflix account. Obviously they want to make this option as difficult as possible and dissuade people; perhaps the option will be disappearing completely soon.

Conversation with my sister last night-

Betelgeuse, Altair, Polaris, and the Seven Sisters will be in attendance.

Also... Netflix shows baseball? Netflix sucks in that knowing what they show is a pain in the butt. Their WWE library is cumbersome to manage. I had no idea that Netflix shows baseball. Amazon makes it up front and obvious they have sports.

I'm sure other services do this, but Apple has an easy way to create burner email addresses that you can use for those times you need a unique email address but it gets forwarded to your regular iCloud account. If you're using AppleOne or other Apple services, check to see if this is included with your service.

I have about half a dozen email addresses I've created for various reasons over the years, so it was no problem :)

You can do the same with GMail. I have a few gmail addresses that I use.

Yeah, with GMail, all you have to do is add a + and some text to your address. e.g. ncted+netflix@gmail.com. (not my actual email address) It is a really helpful feature for gmail users.

Aliases are fun... I have one with another provider called "mytrashaccount"
