Network Connection

I have purchased an Apple Airport Extreme and I am using for all of my wireless devices. However, I can't get it to work with the DirecTV receiver. It is asking for a security key, which the lady at DirecTV told me it was different from my password (which I tried several times). I found a 16 digit Airport ID but that doesn't work either. I have connected an i-Pad, Apple TV, Blu-Ray, and an 2 i-phones up with no problem. Any idea what I am missing.

If the network key has any special characters (apostrophes, periods etc..) then the receivers wont be able to connect.. Its a known bug, also, network keys are Case sensitive, so watch for capital letters when you put it in...
Other than that.. Are you connecting with a wireless CCK? if so.. you should be able to use the WPS setup if your Airport router has that feature..
