So, I noticed the wireless option under network setup. Is or will this be used for a usb wireless adapter? Or (dare I say it), is there a built-in wireless card in the Hopper / Joeys that will be activated in a future update (wishful thinking)?

Probably for a USB wireless adapter. There's no built-in wireless because Dish recommends wired for Ondemand, Sling, etc.

Yes - the wireless setup is used with the usb wireless adapter

No - it does not have a built in wireless in the hopper

I don't like the wireless adapter we get issued. It's reception is to finicky in my view. It's too bad that Dish allegedly won't pay for the second slinglink. Ethernet or HIC is the best option.

I was trying to get network access to my Joeys for DLNA. I might just abandon it for now, since I already have a Roku on the same tv (providing DLNA for PlayOn).
