Can you be more specific on what you need help doing? I suspect you have some type of DSL/Cable modem in your home that connects you PC to the internet.

If that is all you have, then you may want to consider getting a router for the home, then installing a switch of some sort at the entertainment area and run a cable from the switch to the newly installed router that connects to the DSL/Cable modem.
