Is this normal, I am running it in 1080i, would 720p be better. Any help would be appreciated.

Likely the pixelation your are seeing is a result of compression, artifacts, and unfortunately, it is normal for the time being. Another source of pix elation is inherent to fast motion on 1080i sources. You could try 720, but I doubt you will see any difference. The consensus around here is if you have a 1080p set, go 1080i, but it's your call.
