new carbon ui hopper experence app this morning

Yeah, it looks really nice, can't wait.... Or can I? My wife FINALLY has figured out how to get to her yoga videos on the dlna server, via hitting men, down, down, click, click, videos, click.... :)

I hope they either make it easier or not change it. :)

The home media server option isn't going to be high on their list ;)

Just watched Scott's interview / demo of the UI and they scrolled through some of the "menu" screens and there was no home media server button shown. It could have been a row further down, of course.

I'm really curious how the parental controls will be changed. The way it's implemented today just feels like it's been added to and added to and added to. It just operates clumsily !

I would say once again your wrong. ;)

I think it works pretty damn good now, I would prefer it as a color button on the remote though, she uses it every day now... She's just not big into change. :) Took her forever to like the hopper coming from the X1 and before that the tivo. She still wants her tivo back....

do you guys think the dish employees will get it first tommoorow?
Honestly, not sure as it would remain completely irrelevant to us, since they have an NDA, and cannot discuss it. We will see it when it's our time, Alan. Just smile and smell the roses.

Maybe...

Is our lives so out of balance that the mere mention of something so trivial as a new UI gets us excited?
When it is to change the entire user experience... Yes. It is quite exciting making the best dvr on the market better... But not to the extent that it gets taken to sometimes.
