I just had directv installed yesterday Man the guy had no Idea what he was doing.
I had to help him out with tracing cables and troubleshoot a bad zin switch.
And I still have only have of my HD channels.
So my question are
I have HD-DVR - HR22-100

What are the SATA/USB port for can retrieve recorded shows off of my receiver.

signal strength
103 avg. 81
101 avg. 92
99 avg. 81
Does this sound to low with a slimline dish with 1 LNB
When I run test I get error code 42-294

Guys is coming back but I am not confident in him

As far as signal strength goes, I shoot for everything in the 90's, mid 80's is ok too.
D*'s theory I believe is 70 and above.
Overall, higher the better.
The 99 and 103 could be a little higher.

I think you meant "customer", not "costumer". :)

maybe he meant the installer was more like a costumer ;):D

cos·tumer (käs?to??o?m??r, -tyo??o?m?-)noun

  1. a person who makes, sells, or rents costumes
  2. a clothes rack or hat tree
notice how it doesn't mention expert in sat installs :p
