Hi folks, I just upgraded to a hd receiver, and used my old voom dish, and could not get the hd channels as I was advised by a local vender, so I purchased a new direct tv 5LNB dish, and I can only get the one satellite to tune. I am not using a signal meter, just using the next door neighbors dish as a guide, and the directions that came with the dish. do I need a signal meter to set the azimuth? and if so how do I connect it. any help would be appreciated.

AT-9 Dish Installation

AT-9 dish installation is much more complicated than single or 3 LNB dishes of the past. See solid signal video via link below.

AT-9 installation can be a DIY project but very difficult to get good signals on all 5 sats (esp the KA's 99 & 103 ) without a signal meter.

Good Luck

Is anyone using an AT9 dish with non solid copper conductor RG6?
I was told that solid copper conductor RG6 is necessary.
