new dvr requires additional dish--setup

The Dish Network Channel Chart (about 2/3 of the way down the page- slow loading) is now showing DC area locals on 110 & 119. I don't know when that happened. But they are MPEG-4, I believe. A ViP series receiver is required to see these stations- the ViP211 or ViP622. We "might" soon see a ViP222.

61.5 has the HD demo channel (9443), 129 does not.

The Pentagon Channel (9405) is on 61.5 and 148 only.

Those locals are SD locals, the HD locals are still showing on 61.5 even though Dish CSR says they are on 129. The SD locals are not MPEG4 either, because I watch them a couple times a week when the OTA is busy recording.

Well, 18 more hours and I will have it straightened out anyway.

Adding a 622 to my 942 and changing my account to DVR Advantage + AT250 upgrade + Dish HD.

Thank you for the correction. I should not have just searched for WETA & WDCA.

It's all done! Installation was scheduled for Noon to 5pm and he showed at 1pm. Repointed the 61.5 dish (I was using it for 110 since the 942 was not showing channels from the 61.5 position), checked my 110/119 dish (I have both pole mounted), installed and booted the 622, ran check switch, called in the numbers, downloaded software and done.

Including my OTAs and LiL HDs, I now have 50 HD channels!

Now, I have to change my sig!
