I was speaking to a Buffalo NY Directv Retailer last night and he told me of the new promotion that will take place come October 13th.

$26.00 Off for 12 months
HD-DVR for free
Free Showtime & Starz for 3 months
$100.00 referral is usable
All new installs will be Single Wire Method.

Anyone heard anything different, before I give them go ahead for next week?

I can confirm all of that but the last line.

In our database there no mention of Q4 new customer offers being SWM though swm installs are more common these days.

In our database there no mention of Q4 new customer offers being SWM though swm installs are more common these days.

I spoke to one of the owners, who is supposedly an "Elite Preferred" Dealer for Directv; who uses their own installers; and he told me if I wanted SWM to wait until next week, because that is the only type of installs they will be doing from then on.

So unless something of major substance comes out of the Charlie Chat on Monday (MSG-HD and/or YES) , I will be giving him a call mid next week to set it up.

Sounds just like the spring/summer promo but $5 off more than before ($26 instead of $21).

If I recall, that lets them advertise the $29 price point for the first year on Choice.
