It was really hard to read when it first came out but they adjusted it and it' much better now.

I think just adding a bold option is what is needed. I do that on my iPhones immediately. And last guide interface had bold text.

I'm back to the old guide. Did it last night. Still have it and I'm knocking on wood while typing this haha

Are they releasing the new guide by receiver type or by location? I have HR 44 and still have old guide. From what I’m hearing I’m glad I still have the old guide.

Nah, its like the original was SD and after ward its crisp HD.
I have been using it since it first came out, don't remember exactly when that was, maybe Nov ... before that ? don't remember, whenever that CE was running.

I can move around it, I just don't like the way you have to scroll to the right for everything now, so you can't see as much on one screen. In the menus, Recording and whatnot ...
They could have kept the names the same so you didn't have to try to figure out where everything is now ...

When you go to the Menu, WHY does the cursor (for lack of a bettter name) start Not in the Menu on the left like it should .... not in the View Guide ... but its actually On a show already .... they make it sound like you went to the Menu to find what you were watching ...
The Recordings portion is just as bad, if not worse.

Released in batches of subscriber accounts within a window during the early morning hours ...

However, the criteria or formula DIRECTV uses to select which accounts are included in an individual batch for release on a given morning is not known.

I didn't get it that early as everyone was running around crying about losing recording and series when going to next CE - I was frightened :eeek all my great stuff would be lost forever -so I waited till I thought it would be safe.

I waited a few weeks and then went ahead and did it once I caught up with my recordings.

Last time I did two hard resets after downgrading and also left the box on overnight. Haven't done that this time so maybe that helps.
