And I have installed MANY of 30" Winegard dish here!
If you check around the city you should be able to find a 36" dish with LNB for under $100.00 This would be about right size to receive most of the Ku FTA signals reliably. Of course, a 1.2m dish would give you much better ability to fight rain fade, but is quite big and hard to get from the store home. Generaly, a 36" dish will fit in a car, but larger you might need a van or truck. If shipping, a large dish may be an oversize package and the shipping costs go up greatly. I'm an hour east of the city and have a 1m dish. It works great, but there are times that the weather will make reception impossible. I mainly watch G10R. If you are looking to receive WGNS from G10R, another possiblity is to receive the OTA digital signal. With a UHF antenna, there are many digital signals you can receive in Toronto.
