New sales tax surcharge in Michigan on prepaid phones

Just letting you guys know for anyone that lives in Michigan, I just found out today that a new tax surcharge of 1.92% went into effect this week for prepaid cell phones and services. This is on top of the 6% sales tax we already normally in Michigan for a total of 7.92%. The extra tax revenue is suppose to go to 911 services. I'll post the bill on here when I get a chance this afternoon.

Is the same tax applied to postpaid plans?
