If I purchase the Dish network equipment what does dish require to activate new service?

Or just purchase the equipment and your good to go?

They might make you pay for you first months programming. Credit check is possible, thats a standard practice anymore.
Best thing is to call and ask.

I just got connected on Saturday and I had to get a credit check and give them a credit card number in case you cancel service early. I didn't have to pay anything up front, but did choose to pay two months of service in order to be enrolled in autopay to take advantage of the $0.01 Cinemax per month deal.
