New software for Pansat 2500a

I am trying to ask a question that may not be related this question. I can't seem to find the new question icon to post a new question. (sorry)
Any way if I could ask why is it that when I down load any satellites into my pansat2500, all of the channels are coming out the same as I already have on all the satellites that I had already down loaded. I only get on all the sats the empire channel, and digital sng, and kuen-tv channel along with odd channels that only display a banner with a song singing in the back ground?

Could be you already have the latest software version and there is nothing new to be added to your receiver?

Sounds like your antenna is pointed at AMC-5. If you don't move the antenna, then every time you run a scan, you're going to keep seeing the same channels.
