Need help with software install. Amico mini 265 started acting weird .Suddenly shows no signal on any channels on SES-1 . After me tv went scrambled thought little of it. However the church channel went no signal. A week later same for SES-3 . Echostar-105 still comes in clear. I am hoping to re install firmware to maybe clear this up. I hooked up a old chinese receiver and got both in the clear. Downloaded V1 6.06 from your forum , it came as a Zip . I assume it must be unpacked and then formatted to a bootable usb before it can be installed in the receiver ?

Lots to think about in your message. Are you sure you have a problem?

SES1 C-band is almost all encrypted now. Daystar is ITC but is off the air sometimes in a day I believe. Check Jewelry TV which may be the only visible transponder at certain times of the day. And there are no transponders on 103W C-band anymore.

You say an old Chinese receiver got both. Was this at the same time as you were checking with your Amiko or a different time of day? Also, does that Chinese receiver have the capability to go out on the Internet to get keys for scrambled transponders?

Yes Si, just unzip it to the .abs file and load that to your box (use all software + bootloader option) and you should be good to go. I am not able to load a .abs file to the forum which is why it is zipped. But any modern computer has what you need to unzip i believe. Good luck.
