Looks like Sony got 3 new Series Of Their XBR's 6,7,8 coming out late this year 1st part of next.. I plan on upgrading my set sometime next year..

Those and the Samsung 6 & 7 series should be the top of the line this year for lcds.

the 9 series will be the led backlighting for the Sammy. It may be out later this year.

Well, the XBR5 is almost the same as an XBR4. Was kinda crappy they jacked the price back up. Glad to see a new model is coming.

Yup, same here. Not the 52, but the 40XBR4. But if you spend all ofyour time trying to upgrade to the latest models, you will end up chasing your tail.

The good thing -- it will drive down prices on the 4s and 5s; and these are damn nice sets. I love mine.
