New Sports Channel on DirecTV

As part of the Versus deal (which is thoroughly discussed elsewhere on this board) DirecTV has added the Universal Sports Channel in SD on channel 604. It is currenly only through the end of the month. Lots of olympic type sports, mostly reruns.

100% not even close.
Lets see, Bull riding,College football, Boxing, NHL Hockey,WEC and some Motor sports in HD. Or Repeats of the olympics is SD. Thats a no brainer.

I've seen Universal sports from the actual source off KU Band and from what I've seen its severely compressed

Universal Sports is a NBC run channel that is available free in many markets as a digital sub-channel....hence why it's heavily compressed...as noted it's 90% Olympic re-run. Not much of an add on if you ask me.
