I can only answer a couple questions.

An for an uplink you will need, for starters a TX/RX dish & BUC...You will be looking at some pretty major cost. I think most of us wouldn't know where to begin...

I would wait for Satellite AV to answer your post. Brian probably knows more about that more then anyone hear...

Honestly I think that this part of FTA is not for the hobbyist, I'm not saying you can't learn, just that you probably will be looking at spending a lot of money & going to school. I'm sure you will need some kind of license, etc.

The standard Glorystar system would have included everything needed to receive the two satellites: GEOSATpro 90cm dish, dual 4 degree rotating bracket, 2 SL1 or SL2 LNBFs with appropriate switches. You do not need any additional brackets or a bar to add a second satellite. Please review the GloryStar Installation manual that is included in the DVR1100 Owners Manual.

We sell thousands of systems for receiving teleconferences and other programming in churches in North America, Central America and the Caribbean.

If you purchased the complete GloryStar system, you have received everything needed to install a residential system. To take the system in an RV, either purchase a roof automatic dish deployment system or get a portable stand (I use a PA system tripod stand with water bag weights).

Your 10ft dish is suitable and approved only for reception. It does not make sense to invest in an uplink for a single channel. Your money will be better spent by investing in production, editing and program play out equipment! It is much less expensive to contract with an uplinker to place your content on the satellite to be part of a group of channels called a MUX- MCPC.

If you purchase your own uplink, you will need an RF study of you planned uplink facility, FCC Licence, assume responsiblity for equipment maintenance, limited on the satellite that you can uplink on, require an engineer for operating and maintaining the uplink. The signal will also have reduced strength and coverage as it will be a single channel on a transponder, SCPC.

Greetings and welcome to Satellite Guys. Before you get too far into tyrying to get your own transmitting system up, get you receiving set up on G19 then check out RiverBroadcasting. Rodney Howard Brown is looking for more paid programing to fill in his schedule and probably would be glad to have yours.

Keep working on the Ham licenses. although they will do little for commercial except prepare you a little for the commercial tests.

TBN also has time for sale on The Church Channel. When you get your system working properly, you will see what is available. The informaton above from SatelliteAV is the BEST you can get.

And to speak to another point you made, I set up the dual satellite system in a Slidell parking lot, 2 years ago in less than 15 minutes. Practice helps! But you can do it.
