I have Dish Network at home, and I would like to install coolSat. Is it legal in th US to use the DishNetwork Dish to install my Cool Sat receiver.

Yea but your not going to get the encrypted channels without your dish network receivers. You might just get demo channels if your pointing on Dish satellites.

Not sure what you are asking. You can use a Dish 500 dish with a FTA receiver to get the unencrypted stuff (basically NASA, some of the audio channels, and the "barker" channels) legally. You cannot load 3rd party software that decrypts Dish legally (even if you have a Dish sub), see the DMCA...
