New Toolbar Feature

I had to turn it off, it was generating errors on pages. It worked on the main forum list, but when entering a forum like the pub, there was an error on the page, then things like the forum tools would not work. (vista 64, IE8).

I was having the same problem at work, with a fairly tough firewall and IE6.

Of course, it no longer matters since they laid me off this afternoon :(

That bites... Sorry to hear that. OTOH, maybe they were watching web browsing logs.

Anyway, about the topic...

Looks like this is so good that it is opt-out instead of opt-in....

(Toolbar quickly minimized...)

Wonder if the new bug I'm having is related to this new feature?

In IE 7 on just about every webpage, it loads or starts loading and then crashes saying.

Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site http://www.satellite guys.us/search/php

Operation Aborted

OK

Then it goes to a 404 like page saying

Just Turned The Whiz Bang Toolbar Feature Off

Just Turned The Whiz Bang Toolbar Feature Off

And now my IE7 browser stopped crashing....

This was bad. Poor timing....

I'm doing this instead of playing with my new AZBOX !!!!!

OK now back to the AZBOX! :D:D

Problems reported on sonic for users here too (and in the blackberry sat guys group). Maybe it needs tweaks scott?

I have turned off the Toolbar by default. If you want to use the Toolbar you can turn it on in the User Control Panel Options.

Does SG.us receive a benefit if we turn it back on?

Nope we do not benefit in anyway at all from using it or not using it. Just thought it was neat, but it seems to have issues with 64 bit OS's and also has java issues with some browsers with older java clients.

Its neat but I don't like people getting errors, which is why it is defaulted to off now. :)
