I've looked at the threads on the new ViP612 DVR but I still have some questions.
I'm hoping someone went to CES and can answer my questions.
Did anyone actually get to use a working 612?
1. Does this have two remotes both IR and UHF?
2. Does this unit operate just like a 622/722 for both tuners on a single
TV set. So will you use the PIP mode to switch back and forth between the
two tuners?
Or is the 612 more like Directv HD Tivo with a button at the top to between the two tuners without needing to do a PIP first?
3. How many 612's can you get Four per household?
4. Does the 612 have to be connected to a phone line or you pay the
no phone line fee?
5. How many outputs does the 612 have?
Will you be able to send the signal to any other room in the house.
Possibly using that Homeplug or wireless technology?
6. Does the remote look exactly the same as a 722?
7. What will the lease fee be for the first and more than one 612?
8. How is the build quality of a 612 does it feel a lot lighter and cheaper build than a 722?
9. Any word if runs hot like the 622 did?
And finally are there any new changes to the now 2 year contract regarding the 612 vrs. going with the 622/722?
