Hi guys looks like a nice board you have here.Been kinda sitting back and watching for a few weeks and trying to learn and pickup some ideas on this fta stuff. Looked at sanduan site and got some numbers but i wanted to run them by you guys and see if you have any other numbers i may need to use instead.I guess i will tell you a little about my setup first.Im using a pansat 2700 with a sg2100 motor, fortec .4 lnb and a fortec 90cm dish.Pretty much need to know what my true south sat is and what elavation and azimeth it is at.
Sandoun's site showed i needed
51.9 elavation
180.4 azimeth
.3 lnb polarization

my zip is 75249 ( dallas ,tx)

Thanks in advance for any help you might have.

I'm pretty close to you (over in the Wylie/Lavon) area. IA5/T5 is really easy to hit for us. If you are good with directions and angles., you can pretty much eyeball it. (Well, I can...).

well got everything up today got itpointed to my true south sat put a signal meter on tuned it for maximum signal on a good transponder. Shwoing 87% strength and 0% quality ,i really hope i figure out how to use this because the first day sure sucks cant fins a single channel on telstar 5.Any good hints i need to know for using the unversal lnb on the pansat 2700 ?

If you think you are close to the satellite try a blind scan.

For a universal LNBF the L.O. should be 09750-10600

thanks for the help i really appreciate the help , Started the blind scan in the last 15 minutes its found 18 on the telestar 5 so far, guess that means im somewhat locked on it i guess .So that is atleast making it seem like i didnt waste a whole day.Guess the real fun will start when i go to trying to use the motor.

Update: got 99% quality on the telestar five got the motor locked in on g10 now, seems the motor is working. Seems to be flowing good. Thanks again!
