I stumbled across this service today. Offers live and archived local news broadcasts from 250 network affiliates in the US.

They have a very nice Roku app. Search for "NewsON"

So far the ads are minimal. I've sampled this afternoon's local newscasts from Ohio, Las Vegas, LA and ABQ from multiple networks.

I've been looking for a service like this for a long time!

I haven't used NewsOn in awhile, but they've been around for nearly nine years now, having launched in November 2015.

They carry news streams from the various large station groups, including CBS, Tegna, Sinclair, Hubbard, Cox, Scripps, and Hearst. The ABC O&Os and Gray Media stations were initially on NewsOn, but each removed their stations from the service between 2020 and 2021.

Ive been watching news on for a few years now. It's got it's quirks but overall a great source of news from all over the US
