NFL 2025-2026 Season

Did you notice how many time those Elderly QB's actually threw the ball past the line of scrimmage ...

Now days, most young QB's don't throw down the field . I'm only talking 10 yards or more (from the LOS) ... back in the day, there were down field passing and big plays MUCH more often, and it wasn't because of a defender grabbed a shoulder ...

PI is a whole other story ... You use to be able to play defense ... sadly, not anymore.

The Bengals and Steelers are 10th and 17th in passing offense.

What's next, claiming it's all YAC? Bengals and Steelers are 28th (6.0) and 14th (7.4) in yards per pass attempt (ypa).

The top 5 players who know which direction the ball should be thrown, their age, and their ypa:

Sam Darnold, 28, 9.6
Lamar Jackson, 28, 9.2
Jordan Love, 26, 8.5
Drake Maye, 23, 8.5
Daniel Jones, 28, 8.3

Meanwhile, way down the list:

Rodgers, 7.4
Flacco, 5.5

Apparently a bunch of other teams have learned how to utilize the forward pass in their offense as well. I get that you are unhappy with your team and the game, but you don't need to just make stuff up, lol. What we saw was just 2 veteran quarterbacks against 2 of the worst defenses in the league.

What we seen Thursday night was rarer than gold. 2 40 year + QB's in a classic game. that kept us entertained start to finish. try to come up with a whole handful of those the past 70 years.

While I enjoyed it (My Team lost) ...
The Lack of Defense is driving me nuts.
The lack of being allowed to play defense is even Worse.

Anymore, these games are Coin flips, the last team with the ball Wins.

Do you miss the over the middle blasts ? or
the Corners roughing up the WR at the line ? this could still be done but it's not.
something else ?
I miss the Legal hits, yes.

Also, while were at it, the Targeting rules are Very Subjective ...

A guy hits with his shoulder pad and his helmet ends up hitting as well, like on Every shoulder hit ... suddenly, its Targeting.

Do you know how many times players Do go helmet to helmet ?
Plenty, when any play starts and the O and D lines start the play ... sure, its not suppose to happen, but it does.

When Philly Eagles run thier "Tush Push" ... there Plenty of Helmet to helmet contact .... whens the last time you saw a targeting call on one of them ?
Remember, the officials call it regardless, not if there was Intent to injure.

IF they would look to see if there was intent (sometimes they will) most of them would not be called.

When a guy loses his helmet on a play (they stop the play) the player that lost his helmet has to sit out the next play ....

THIS IS NOT, what the losing your helmet call is about at all ...
The original intent of the lose your helmet rule was to keep players from taking thier helmet off so the Fans could see who they are.
Also known as Showboating, now known as Taunting ...
