NFL 2025-2026 Season

Exactly ...
Were saying the same thing, yet your questioning me ?

No, we're not. You're complaining abstractly about specific instances you saw, without naming them, so they can't be debated or discussed, for some reason.
They say lately, if his arm is extended, its a flag

Who is they? If his arm is extended it's a symptom if pushing off, and can lead to why a flag was thrown. Again, what was the incident, or are these just works of fiction you're railing against ... and why?

Just your pattern of posting lately, complain about something, get questioned or corrected, then complain about being replied to, etc.

Again, going back a couple posts - if you understood the rules many of these questions would be answered, but you're talking in vague and abstract self-serving examples.

I can't have my arm opened up going down the field without it being a penalty ?
Just because I have an open arm, doesn't mean I used you for separation ...
I don't really see a need to have video of each instance, they happen every week, all you have to do is have an open mind, open your eyes and LOOK at what your seeing ....

A ref will call the same thing different over 2 plays ... one time its a foul, next time ... were letting them play.

I know the rules and some get called one way 1 play and another way on the next ....
I'm not complaining, just pointing out the facts.

Some go my way, some don't.

They have Subjective rules ... PI is one, Targeting is another, holding is another .... then again, when you slow the game down to Super Slo Mo, you find a lot more happening.

The fact that they now can call a Penalty (from up above or In NY) is ridiculous.

The above Ref is there to Confirm what the refs on the field called .... not to stop after another play and call something (which doesn't happen all that often, but does happen.)

*this thread is interrupted with talk about the NFL games*

A tale of two games with Patriots and Browns. Browns defense looked sharp. Held Patriots back to 9 points in the first half, down only 9-7. Garrett sets a record for youngest to achieve whatever. Browns defense was betrayed by the offense (and admittedly the Patriots defense which isn't bad). They had only two drives over 5 plays, only one over 10. 8 drives with less than 15 yards to show for it. Browns lose 32-12.

The Browns sold their soul for Watson. They had no QB while they had one of the best RBs in the league and a decent defense. That time has passed and gone and now the Browns offense has nothing. I'm usually hard on Stefanski as I think he is a feckless head coach, but the blame falls on Haslam who sold the golden goose for three worthless beans (yes, I'm changing things up here). It was a bad idea when it was announced and now they are perpetually rebuilding at this point.

Meanwhile, Maye is benefiting from the incredible talent at McDaniel... and is accelerating in his development. His performance in Week One of the season is long ago now. The Patriots are now an inexplicable 6-2 (which should be 7-1... again in reference to the Steelers loss). But again, the Patriots schedule is very weak, but 6-2, I'll take that!

Got to go out onto the field after the Raiders game.

Yeah it was a neat experience, we got to see a lot of the hustle and bustle behind the scenes as the game wrapped, especially since we gathered and then had to wait the entire overtime period for our chance to go out. Our usual view is from up here for the games we go to, I'll probably be back for the Chiefs game at the end of the year.

We were offered tickets to the pre-game tailgate (normally $250 each) or be able to hold the flag on the field for the anthem (which was sung by Renée Elise Goldsberry from Hamilton, and was by far the best I've ever heard in person) but since we had the kids with us we did the on the field bit, as the tailgate is whatever and the flag stuff was limited to 18+

For those of you who don't have the privilege (or curse) of watching the Cowboys weekly, last night's game was a personification of their play this year.

The Cowboys move the ball between the 20's very well, allowing them to build up some impressive statistics. Once they get inside the 10 yard line, it's like they go stupid and inept. They moved the entire length of the field by running between the tackles and play action passes. Then, on first down from the seven, they try to run wide and lose five yards. First down from the seven and turn the ball over at about the 20.

The defense is horrible. Despite a few spectacular stops and a handful of sacks, their run defense gives up one big play after another. Their pass defense is non-existent, as it is only successful when pressure is put on the QB and he makes a wayward pass.

Special team did make one outstanding play, but most of the time they are below average. Most kickoffs result in the other team starting beyond the 25, usually worse. Despite having a quality return guy (Aikman called him dangerous), they typically start in poor position. They do have a great field goal kicker, but evidently don't feel the need to use him on fourth and whatever when three scores down.

Even when they are rolling along, they're too stupid to benefit from it. The second most penalized team in the league, they continually shoot themselves in the foot. Good example last night from their outstanding receiver Pickens. He makes multiple extraordinary catch and runs during the game, then when the Cowboys are driving and trying to get close at the end of the game, he taunts the other player and costs them 15 yards. Stupidity will trump talent most times.

All this being said, they somehow seem to stumble their way into being competitive in most games, even winning three of them.

I'm done. :hatsoff

I wouldnt be so hard on them. Everything you said is correct. The whole league has been strange so far this year. How many games have been stolen, blown, or a good team just not show up?
