NFL 2025-2026 Season

Minus two teams, the NFC squads are crashing. The AFC teams are mostly ascending into the playoffs. Two divisions (with the worst winners) to be determined on the final week in head to head combat.

Buffalo are slipping. New England is in ascendence, but it is the Broncos who seem to be in charge in their unlikely rise to the top. AFC playoff games could be quite epic. Patriots winning against Miami would give them home field against all but Denver. Oddly enough, the Patriots are the only team undefeated away from home this season. Seattle and 49ers are peaking at the right time. Eagles, after their "win" against Buffalo, hard to tell who is showing up in the playoffs.

I think both conferences are pretty wide open heading in the playoffs. It's going to be fun to watch this all play out with the Chiefs out of the mix for the first time in forever. I'm looking forward to it.

My Steelers have to beat Baltimore to get in and win thier division ... I don't think they get in without a win on Sunday ... regardless, they are not going anywhere in the playoffs .. again.
Srteelers once again failed to take advantage of the situation, Baltimore at one time was 4 GAMES out of first ... they made up 4 games, or should I say the Steelers opened the door for them.

So, thats said, I'll root for Houston and New England .... Surprise team in the Playoffs would be Chicago (and NE ) I can root for the Pats now, I guess I'm rooting for the Buckeyes really, there are a lot out there playing in a lot of locations.

Glad KC is out, just tired of them being there every year, I can say the same with Philly all though they haven't been there as much. I Do really like Barkley and a good Running game.

Opps, somehow I forgot to mention the Seahawks and JSN ...

Same with my Panthers, who actually have a chance to get in the playoffs for the first time since 2018. They'll be one and done too, but at least they may get there either by beating the Bucs outright or with some help from the Falcons if they beat the Saints.

I'm personally rooting for the Jaguars, but I think they'll run into trouble quick in the playoffs because their defense is very weak at times. If their offense continues to shine though they may make some noise.

Cowboys finally dumped Diggs...

Alot will depend on pairings ... who they end up playing.

Stefon denies everything, and of course his lawyer said they are working out a pay package to make the issue go away. So, if the pay package happens... the charges are dropped and it is like nothing happened.

Feels a bit morally messed up.
Or, maybe it actually was a Money grab, at an opportune time ....

Never know ... theres a lot of gold diggers out there.

12-5 Buffalo on the road against Jacksonville. Pats draw just the right team for hopefully their first of two home games. Pitt v Houston, so Houston gets a second bye or is Rodgers going to do something special? If Buffalo and New England win, that means Denver faces the Bills at home in their first game.

Seattle is peaking while the rest of the NFC is tanking. Carolina home against the Rams and possibly a great game with San Fran (12-5 as well on the road) against Philly. Chicago is the #2 seed. I'm getting a very Super Bowl XLI feeling right now about the NFC. Except for Seattle.

The most important thing come these playoffs will being coaching, strategy, offensive execution, time of possession, and defense.. maybe a few other things. The AFC is a gauntlet. The NFC, who knows. Could see the first game with a combined 20 turnovers finish 31-27, with no offensive touchdowns.

If the Jaguars play like they've been playing recently I think they will beat the Bills. Allen is 0-4 in road playoff games for his career. With Lawrence's resurgence under Cohen in Jacksonville, and the Patriot's rise this is likely the Bills best shot to get to a Super Bowl though. After seeing what I saw last night I don't think you can count Rodgers out. It's possible they beat Houston, especially with it being at home for Pittsburgh. I think the AFC may end up being more interesting than some think.

As for the NFC I think it is the Seahawks to lose at this point in time. I agree everyone else is all over the place. It would not shock me to see Carolina beat the Rams (they've already done it once this season, after all), but I wouldn't bet $$ on it. I think Bears-Packers is going to be a good game.

One thing I've discovered AI is great at over the later part of the season is compiling broadcast information automatically. There are lots of great sites that provide TV schedules (506 Sports, College Sports on TV, LSUfootball.net, etc.) but sadly none list the Sirius XM channel numbers with the TV info. I've discovered by feeding Gemini the link to the TV & satellite radio schedules it will compile a nice table of it all.

Here is the upcoming Wild Card weekend for those who may be interested.

Thanks for the list ...
As for the list, the National Feed will always be on 88 (usually there isn't more than one game on at a time)
Its great help for those that want the Home or Road feeds.

For those that don't know ... Most of the games H/A feeds are in the 800's (that goes for baseball as well.)

I really don't expect Rodgers and the Steelers to do much against the Texans ...
Pittsburgh each year is held up high for having a Great Defense and every year, that defense struggles badly.
Metcalf will be back, that will help some, however HOUSTON HAS a DEFENSE, an actual defense that comes to play.
If Houston's O Line comes to play, this will be a one sided affair.

Pats / Chargers, Go Pats .... first time I think I've rooted for the Pats ... I did all this year.
Now that Belicheck and company are not around ... I Like Vrabel, they made an Excellent choice with him.

Bears / Packers ... Go Bears, for some reason, I have grown to dislike the Packers over the years. (Lions are out, that may be part of it)

Seahawks, Bye week :)
If Darnold plays well, they win, if Not they lose, pretty simple there.

Those are the game I am Most interested in.
