NFL Network RedZone

Now that DTV RedZone is gone, I wonder if they will add NFLN RedZone - the version that every other pay tv provider has. There hasn't been any word from DIRECTV yet on the channel - they better not cheap out and skip it.

Better yet - they should get it and offer it in 4K.

This is already being discussed in the Sunday Ticket thread where you previously brought this up. As of now DIRECTV does not have a deal with the NFL Network for their version of Red Zone, if they come to one by start of the season, it will be announced via a press release, a post on DIRECTV Insider, and covered in news articles at various sports sites/blogs.

And it's impossible for DIRECTV or any other provider to offer Red Zone in 4K. None of the regional CBS (1080i) and Fox (720p) games that make up Red Zone's coverage are being produced in 4K, and even if they were, the NFL Network does not currently distribute it in 4K. The few NFL games that are produced in 4K (or 1080p HDR upconverted) are special nationally televised ones like FOX's Thanksgiving game, and DIRECTV already carries them on one of their 4K Event channels.
