The penalties are certainly not going our way this evening 10 minutes to 5; Smith is sitting in the box every time I look. Regardless, glad to be up 2-0 after giving Chicago five (5) power plays.

What odd is couple years they would call interference if the toe of the blade touched the goalie area...now, you practically have to big in the goalies shorts before they make the call. I like the new rule (i.e., return of the old rule). Still, Wings need to regroup 'cuz Chicago is playing hard this period.

Absolutely! Too many players shoot the slap-shot when, as Datsyuk just demonstrated, a well-aimed wrister can be much more effective.
Wings giving up thier blueline WAY to easily allowing the Hawks to walk in and have open shots or time to set it up.
Our power play is pretty good, but Chicago has an excellent kill.

That said, you can usually here when a post is hit and the last two that the announcer has called, I didn't hear.
Well, the Wings killed thier own PP this time, they made little to no effort to even set up in the offensive zone ... why, I have NO IDEA...
Very tight game with the difference maker being Jimmy Howard (Player of the Game). Chicago looks frustrated and I expect Wednesday night's game to be a nasty, physical, barn-burner.
