We had a baseball Hot Stove thread- I want to start this because of something HUGE I just heard.

KCK has been wanting Chris Pronger to get traded.

Well, I was watching the draft, and it looks like he may get his wish.

It appears that Chris Pronger has been traded to the Philadelphia Flyers.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

OH. MY. GOD.

PLUS we get Lupul back. I LOVE LUPUL!!!!! Missed him since he was traded. He missed SoCal badly, too. Never gave up his beach condo here.

Good start to the new year!:up

Pronger helped win us the Cup, but he is a Prima Donna beyond belief! Good...BYE!!!!

IMO, that would probably be because of this:

Let me guess- the hockey equivalent of Terrell Owens?

It's official- Pronger IS a Flyer.

KCK got what he wanted.

Personally, I'm glad to see that punk a*% out of the Western Conference. One of the dirtiest players I ever seen.

If I'm around tomorrow, I'll tell you what I really think about Pronger.

Nice memories of that evening! He is a great guy, too.

Pronger is truly a "Don't you know who I THINK I am????" person in every walk of life. The clubhouse will be much calmer and serene without him.

Let me help you - Great defenseman, dirtiest player on the ice, clubhouse cancer. For the most part a huge A-hole. But now he's your A-hole. Kind of like Bill Laimbeer was Detroit's. He was an A-hole, but he was our A-hole. Catch my drift?

First casualties of the Red Wing salary cap - Chris Chelios and Ty Conklin. Ken Holland said yesterday that he is not optimistic about signing Hossa. I think Draper, Maltby, Meech, may also be skating on thin ice, as may be Tomas Holmstrom. Samuelson, and Hudler, also remain unsigned at this time. With all the young talent we have waiting in the wings, this may be a good time to get younger.

I am officially voting the Florida Panthers THE WORST run franchise in ANY SPORT. They traded away THE BEST PLAYER(Jay Bouwmeester) they have for a couple of bags of peanuts and a six pack....while still having NO GM.

...what is REALLY sad is that is barely got a blip on the sports radar down here....

...IF the Dolphins or Heat would have traded their best player, while not having a LEGIT GM....this city would be rioting as I type this.

...I am not a big hockey fan, but I have seen some of things this franchise has done and how every single type of media has gone nuts on them for some of the things they have done, but I believe Panthers deserve more than this....

Wow Chelios? That's a surprise.

Listen, I don't want to say the guy is old, but he was there with Moses at the great parting of the sea. I believe he is 47 currently, and really didn't play much this year. He did say that he still wants to play, preferably with an Eastern Conference team.
