I'm on latest software and have hopper3 with plus. Lately the hopper is reporting no internet yet I'm able to use streaming apps just fine. Thus wasn't a problem until paramount wants an update to continue using the app, which obviously it's connecting to internet to know there's an update. But when I hit download it says no connection. Also if I try to do it manually by going to the play store it also says no connection and I can't use internet based channels such as dishscapes because it says I'm not connected. But I'm clearly connected and can watch Netflix or Disney or whatever other apps all day with absolutely no issues. I've reset the network on the hopper, reset the hopper itself, reset my entire network, and nothing works. Connected by ethernet but also tried wifi and no change. Any ideas from anyone.

Wow, haven't seen that one.
Try doing a manual update on the Hopper itself, even with the newest version, it could still run it

Perhaps it's an IP conflict on your network between the Hopper and another device. Try mapping a manual IP address if it has that option. OR, if the Hopper3 has BOTH wireless AND wired, switch to the other one to try. Such as going from a wired connection (unplug the cable) to a wifi connection as a test.

This about as weird as my hopper 3 random doing .333mbps on the internet test page at random and no amount of rebooting of router or hopper 3 fixes it. normal I get 50-100mbit when it work correct. Seeing I have router that "combined" band I tried separating the 2hgz and 5ghz band and tried each and sooner or later the h3 is doing .333mbps had same problem.

the h3 isnt even 3 feet from router either. ( wired is not option noting put hole threw a wall) On thing I have not tired to see if it fixed issue is give h3 a static ip. I dont think the network driver on h3 or wifi chip is really any good

This only effect "on demand" and the "streaming" channels on h3 when this happen download of on demand are stupid slow and streaming channel basically or are constantly buffering. The funny haha part of that is IF I going to netflix or amazon prime threw the app when this happen, there is no problem with speeds and streaming works great even at 4k. nothing about it makes sense it almost like on demand and streaming channels are geting bandwidth limitation upstream someplace at random and the internet test will reflect speeds it when happens.

There a few options for neatly passing wires through a wall (assuming it's not brick or concrete block). I've used a version of this to pass speaker cables as well as satellite coax through a paneled wall to "dress it up".
