no local channels on Vip222k

I recently got a Vip222k with DISH HD satellite. I think it's dish 1000.4 eastern arc. I'm currently pointing at 61.5 and 72.7 using a DP34.

I'm subscribed to Top 200 with locals. My programming is all there except for my locals. The closest market is Watertown since I live in Massena, NY.

In my system setup, dish 1000 doesn't appear in the choices. The only ones that show is superdish, dish 500 and dish 300. But yet in test switch, it recognizes DP34 and 61.5 and 72.7.

Any ideas?

First question is why do you have a DP-34 in the system? If you have a 1000.4 it should have a switch built in. A 222 should work with a separator so only 1 cable is needed on the back of the receiver.

Congratulations! Watertown has only SD locals off 119: http://www.satelliteguys.us/thelist/index.php?search=dnall&sub=true&market=Watertown, NY. You have three choices.

1) Do without your satellite locals
2) Put up a satellite dish pointed at 110/119/129
3) "Move" to another DMA that does have locals on 61.5.

4) Try using an OTA antenna, you may need to get an OTA module as well.
