No local vhf reception

VOOM newbie; Dish 6000 w/locals oldie.
VOOM OTA uhf reception fine, but no signal from one local vhf channel.
Installer said to buy and install inexpensive YAGI.
Will VOOM do this?

VOOM OTA tuner receives ATSC DTV (in either SD or HD format). DTV can be broadcast on either VHF or UHF.

You are correct - bad choice of words on my part. I need to train myself that ATSC / DTV does not equal HD.

HD must be digital. Digital can be either VHF or UHF. Therefore, HD can be VHF or UHF.
